High-volume digital printing has been plagued by the challenge of maintaining a consistent quality of images. It is common for the production personnel utilizing the more advanced printing machinery to experience issues with faded text, blurry graphics, or inconsistent background fogging(bottom ash) and colour density. Common troubleshooting steps, including checking the fuser unit, toner cartridges, and paper quality, only address the basics. However, experienced technicians understand that a major, unrecognized element affecting image quality is the Charge Roller (also known as the Primary Charge Roller or PCR).
The Charge Roller is the foundation of any printed image, and its role is to apply an even electrical charge to the surface of the OPC drum, creating an even "white canvas" for the laser to draw the image onto.
The most important performance measurement of the Charge Roller is its surface resistance value. If the charge roller's surface resistance values are inconsistent (low due to poor material), it results in inconsistent charging of the OPC drum. Inconsistent charging produces bottom ash, which ruins professional documents. Using high-quality Charge Rollers significantly decreases the occurrence of background fogging by about 60%, thereby reducing the waste of supplies.
For users of the Xerox VI engines, precision is of utmost importance in all components used. We have created Premium Original Material Charge Rollers that are engineered specifically for the high-performance printing environment.
In addition to providing support for the VI4471 Series, we offer a complete line of long-life Charge Roller solutions for virtually all production and office equipment models. As all production environments have unique requirements, we carry extensive inventories of charge rollers for:
Whether you are using a Xerox C7000 printer in a small studio or managing a fleet of AltaLink C8170 printers in a large corporate hub, we provide charge roller products that fill the need for both high-quality OEM's and low-quality clones. Our charge roller products have been treated to resist the accumulation of toner additive and paper dust, ensuring excellent wear life even in high-volume applications.
By using the charge roller as a key maintenance part, you will be able to protect your investment in your Xerox C7000, C7100, C8000, or C8100 series printers, keeping the first page of each print job looking as good as the last page.
